Location: Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Penrith and The Hills
Position: Full-Time Landscape Garden Assistant
Hours: 38 hours per week
Pay: $30-$32 per hour + overtime + super

  • Who We Are:

Protea Landscapes is a growing, family-owned landscaping business serving the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Penrith and The Hills. Our small, tight-knit team is passionate about quality work, beautiful outdoor spaces, and investing in the people who make it all happen.

    The Opportunity:

This isn't just a job — it's a career with a company that genuinely backs you. We're looking for someone eager to learn, committed to quality, and ready to grow with us. Whether your goal is to become a team leader, earn your TAFE qualification, or eventually step into an office or management role — we'll help you get there.

We have a full-time permanent position available for an immediate start.

    What You'll Be Doing:

You'll work alongside experienced landscapers across a variety of maintenance and construction projects — from garden maintenance, planting, pruning, hedging and mulching, through to basic landscaping construction like edging, paving and small retaining walls. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll be building real, hands-on skills from day one.

    • Above-award wages — $30–$32/hr + overtime + super

    • Performance-based pay increases + rewards

    • Permanent full-time role with holiday, public holiday and sick pay

    • On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced landscapers and business owners

    • Company-funded TAFE courses available

    • Clear career pathways to team leader roles, company car and beyond.

    • All uniforms, safety gear and tools provided

    • A friendly, supportive team that invests in you

    • The right attitude matters more to us than a long resume. We'll train the right person. That said, you'll need:

    • A genuine passion for quality work and taking pride in what you do

    • Reliability, punctuality and the ability to commit — we start on-site at 7am

    • Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

    • Strong communication and a team-first attitude

    • A valid driver's licence and own transport (essential)

    • The right to work in Australia, living in or near our service areas

Previous experience in garden maintenance is an advantage but not essential.

      Highly regarded (not essential):

      • Current ChemCert

      • Current Working with Children Check
