FOUNDER + OPERATIONS MANAGER

With over a decade in the horticultural industry, Tom has worked as a technical specialist for some of Australia’s leading horticultural product and equipment suppliers. His hands-on experience spans research, commercial production, and propagation, including work in the most advanced research glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere.

A university-trained horticulturist, Tom studied at Western Sydney University and pursued postgraduate studies with DPI NSW and Tocal Agricultural College, further refining his expertise in sustainable agriculture and innovative growing techniques.

“My passion for horticulture began in my Nonna’s garden. Popping cherry tomatoes in my mouth as I followed her around her magnificent ornamental and vegetable garden! Now I love the technical side of growing plants - soil chemistry, pests and disease management, soil biology and new cultivation technology.”

DIRECTOR + LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

With 8+ years of experience in the horticulture industry, Bianca has worked with plant breeders, production nurseries, and leading seed suppliers, developing an in-depth understanding of both food and ornamental plants.

Alongside her horticultural background, Bianca’s skills in graphic design and visual communication give her a sharp eye for aesthetics and functionality. She creates thoughtfully designed landscapes that are both visually striking and perfectly suited to their surroundings.

“Growing up in the Blue Mountains, I’ve always found peace in nature. Now, I love using my horticultural knowledge and design skills to create gardens that bring that same sense of calm and connection to nature for our clients.”

With over 1 year of hands-on landscaping experience at Protea Landscapes, James has rapidly excelled to become a team leader. Currently pursuing his Certificate III in Landscape Construction at TAFE, he brings meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to high-quality workmanship on every project.

LANDSCAPE ASSISTANT

With 1+ years in the landscaping industry, Max is a reliable team member who tackles everything from hedge maintenance and mowing to assisting with landscape construction projects. His artistic background gives him an eye for natural beauty and detail, particularly when working with rockwork and garden features.

"I grew up in the same garden as Tom—our Nonna's place was where I first learned to appreciate the beauty in natural landscapes. Now I bring that eye for detail to every job, keeping gardens looking their best. There's something satisfying about the physical work and seeing the transformation."
